Protest Design

Protest Design (YR13 2023)
The brief: to create two posters protesting for/against something.
I decided my theme would be women's rights, specifically, harassment and violence. The thing which swayed me to do this, was the recent, unfortunate death of Elainne Andam. She was stabbed to death, on the 27th September whilst on her way to school, protecting her friend from her friend's ex boyfriend. I felt shaken a little by this. Elainne was only 15, a few minutes before simply going on with her day. She was surrounded by bystanders who couldn't save her and if it had not been her who died, it would have been her friend. She passed in Croydon, the same place in which I go to school, so it hit closer to home. It's sad that girls are killed for simply saying no. I myself and many other girls have been approached by men with unsavory intentions/attitudes. Though it is not all men, it's enough for it to be a problem, especially when it leads to tragedies such as this one.
I don't have much I would improve for this project except maybe having more detail in each poster or having animated elements. For example, each mini drawing in the second poster moving slightly.
