Art trades I did back in January 2023!

Back in January this year, I decided to step out of my comfort zone by doing some art trades. There was a huge trend of doing them on Tiktok so I made my own video asking people if they'd like to do some, expecting one or two replies at most. To my surprise I got around 20 comments! Being naiive and wanting to take advantage of the opportunity I said yes to most of them. However, I'd never taken on that type of workload before and things quickly became a bit overwhelming. I set myself such tight deadlines, doing 3 a day alongside my coursework. I even sent one person a full drawing without them ever showing any evidence that they were working on mine at all and ending up getting scammed.

But honestly, despite the chaos, I still had a lot fun. I
drew stuff slightly out of my comfort zone (for example, muscular body types and less human like characters). Additionally, it was nice getting excited over each others work and spamming compliments; I'm not an extremely social person so I felt proud of myself for interacting with so many people. Doing art trades also helped me feel more confident in potentially opening paid commissions in the future.

'What are Art Trades?'
Art Trades are like doing commissions except you are paid by your client drawing something for you in return!
